During June, Western Europe saw temperatures averaging 20.74 degrees Celsius (69 degrees Fahrenheit), significantly higher than the previous 1991-2020 average. As temperatures climb above 40 degrees Celsius, Europe is facing more frequent, intense, and prolonged heatwaves, droughts, and wildfires.
